Grading Procedures, Late Work Policy, and Syllabus
Note to Parents regarding LATE WORK:
Daily work (25% of average): Your student will have homework in this class EVERYDAY. If your student does not complete the homework assignment, they will receive a grade of zero. The only way to replace this zero for a maximum of a 70% is by bringing it in the next class day.

o Found in your reading
o Sounds interesting
o Can actually be used in an intellectual conversation or writing
o At least 6 letters
o No Proper Nouns
o No time specific words

The Finished Genre Tracker is completed by the student upon reading a genre.
Genre's may include: science fiction, mystery, contemporary fiction, historical fiction, etc.
The student responds to three types of questions (personal, interpretive, and critical).
